MASS
This is a Latin mass setting for unaccompanied choir, with some short solos for contralto. It is in four parts in the main, but divides briefly into eight. The alto voices are especially featured.
It was intended as a joyful work, with the accent on the more uplifting elements of the Latin mass. The sad bits are there for contrast, but the happy bits predominate.
It's in a single continuous movement, eighteen minutes long. It follows a fairly conventional format, but ends with a reprise of the Quoniam, Cum Sancto and Amen.
Kyrie / Gloria / Et in terra
Glorificamus / Gratias agimus
Domine Fili / Agnus Dei
